New Sporty KIA Sedan Could Be Available by 2017

Rear-wheel drive model would complement K900, give sportier feel to KIA offerings at Jim Butler KIA

KIA has been busy with its concepts and plans. The latest addition to the KIA line-up is the Niro, which will be the brand’s first dedicated hybrid CUV. However, KIA may more than likely put a sporty sedan into the mix as early as mid-2017.

This new vehicle would more than likely be based off previous concepts in years past such as the GT and Novo. KIA has internally dubbed this upcoming vehicle possibility the CK, and a vehicle such as this could compete with European models such as the BMW 4 series without the European price tag.

The CK will more than likely be a rear-wheel drive vehicle just like the K900 and fill a segment of the market without emptying wallets. Engine sizes could possibly be 2.0 liters, 2.2 liters and 3.0 liters.

The KIA CK has no official word yet from the company, but May 2017 is an estimated released date by Reueters. A vehicle such as this would make a great compliment to the new 2016 KIA K900s at Jim Butler KIA in Chesterfield Valley.
