With a 3.3-liter V6 engine, it is estimated that the Cadenza will have a 290 horsepower. However the exact numbers will be released closer to the vehicles on-sale date. Kia’s first front-wheel drive based eight-speed automatic transmission will be pushing power to the Cadenza’s front wheels.
The 2017 Cadenza’s interior will feature Head Up Display, which shows driver information such as speed and turn-by-turn navigation directions on the windshield level with the driver’s eyesight. The Surround View Monitor system and software has been enhanced for a clearer birds-eye view of the vehicles surrounding area. The Surround View Monitor has also added reverse guidelines, which will provide confidence when backing into cramped spaces. Other amenities include: a wireless smartphone charger, UVO system featuring Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 12-speaker Harman/Kardon system, and ClariFi music restoration technology option.
The driving experience offers Advanced Smart Cruise Control and stop-and-go functionality, Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Lane Departure Warning. A first for the Kia is the Smart Blind Spot Detection System that senses unintentional drifting toward neighboring vehicles and automatically brakes the opposite front wheel to help maintain the vehicles intended course.
