Kia K900's Advanced Vehicle Safety Management System

There are plenty of ways you can become a better, safer driver -- taking safety classes, avoiding distractions behind the wheel, practicing good car maintenance – but within the Kia K900, there are many modern safety tools at your disposal.

The K900 offers plenty of safety and security features that make the vehicle one of the safest on the road. On the body, you'll find four-wheel disc brakes with Antilock Breaking System. In addition, if the Advanced Vehicle Safety Management (AVSM) system detects that a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes to reduce speed prior to impact.

The K900 has a variety of safety features inside, too. To protect your body, there are Dual Front Advanced Airbags, Dual Front and Rear Seat-Mounted Side Airbags, Full-Length Side Curtain Airbags and Front Active Headrests.

In case of a crash, Side-Impact Door Beams and Front and Rear Crumple Zones will absorb excess energy and and deflect as much of it as possible from your body.

The K900 also features Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH), Vehicle Stability Management, Brake Assist System, and many other safety and security tools.

Obviously, safety is important to us here at Jim Butler Kia. Visit us to learn more about the safety features of the Kia K900.

Kia Achieves Highest Total Quality Score

There's a reason the Kia Optima and Kia Soul are two of our most popular vehicles here at Jim Butler Kia - quality. The design, the handling and the safety of the Optima and the Soul are second to none.

Turns out everyone else is picking up on that fact, too.

The 2014 Kia Optima and 2014 Kia Soul recently earned top marks in Strategic Vision’s Total Quality Index Study. Kia puts a lot of pride into its well-built cars, so obtaining the highest Total Quality score of all mainstream brands is an achievement to celebrate. Moreover, the Soul captured the best score in the small multi-function car segment for the second year in a row.

“Kia has always embraced its challenger spirit with products that disrupt their segment by offering head-turning design elements, premium features and cutting-edge technology, all at an outstanding value,” said Michael Sprague, executive vice president of sales and marketing, KMA.  “The results of Strategic Vision’s Total Quality Index Study are tangible evidence of the progress Kia has made through our long-term strategy to strengthen the brand, concentrate on quality and elevate the ownership experience for Kia buyers.”

We appreciate when car experts talk about Kia's special features and design highlights, but the Total Quality awards are special because they're influenced by real car buyers themselves. Strategic Vision surveyed more than 38,000 new car owners to measure reliability, vehicle problems, driving excitement and other emotional measures involved in the ownership experience.

Find out for yourself why so many car buyers are enjoying Kia, and test drive the Optima and Soul at Jim Butler Kia today.

Sportage and Cadenza's Top Honors

The J.D. Power 2014 Initial Quality Study (IQS) is one of the best honors in the automotive business, so Jim Butler Kia is excited that two of our models recently were singled out for their outstanding attributes.

The Kia Sportage tied for first place in the small SUV segment, taking the top spot for the second consecutive year.

Meanwhile, the premium Kia Cadenza ranked highest in the large car category, a feat for its first model year. The Cadenza's score was the second-best for any Kia model in history.

"The results of the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study demonstrate Kia’s long-term strategy to concentrate on quality, strengthen our brand and elevate the ownership experience," said John Crowe, vice president of service & aftersale operations at Kia Motors America (KMA).  "The Sportage and the Cadenza are two prime examples of how far the entire Kia model line-up has progressed in the way of design, performance, sophistication and value."
