2017 Kia Cadenza: Bringing the Full-size Sedan Segment Upmarket, and Slaying It

The Kia Cadenza has been widely thought of
as one of the absolute best entries in the large sedan class for the year, and expert reviewers Edmunds stated this summer that “the materials quality is particularly impressive”. We daresay that the Cadenza before this one was handsome in a manner that was a bit more generic, and the 2017 version has a few things about it that are distinctly more unique. Once you climb aboard, the white leather's complement to the faux wood on the dash is a great trait of the car's visual identity.

After getting your hands on one of the coolest sedans out there, you're going to want to heavily stack your social calendar. One of the ultra fun end-of-summer events coming up in St Louis is the Fringe Festival: from August 19-27, the eclectic artists in the area are dishing up performance art, drama, and even circus acts for the masses to enjoy. Tracing its beginnings back to Edinburgh, Scotland in 1947, it is an alternative festival that draws individuals in the area who have a penchant for good taste, and are always embracing the Indie culture and way of life.

Elements of Shakespeare, Snow White, Dead Gothic's Society, and productions such as Please Remain Calm are going to all be offered up here this August, and it will be one of the coolest events of the year in Missouri. The Kia's UVO Infotainment system offers one of the best touch-based systems out there to keep yourself in stock with great new music, but before the weather chills just a little, the outdoor options such as this are key for making sure you have an abundant lineup of fresh air factor.

The spacious vibe of the cabin is really tied together with the accents of the white leather, as well as the dose of rays you'll get with the expanse of the Cadenza's sunroof. If you are thinking about taking your sales and marketing pitch on the road or visiting family you haven't seen for some time, the space in the back seat is going to be an important selling point. Class comfort is noticeable at every glance here, and you have the ability to acquire about 28 MPG while taking the show straight to the highway.

Constructed from expertly engineered adhesives and 53% very high-grade steel, the body of this car is built to be massively strong, and you notice that as you lurch forward immediately. It makes for better driving dynamics, and a more pleasurable ride in the long run. When you arrive at the lot to explore all of the options Kia has to offer for you this year, you'll get excited about how the brand new 4-wheel independent suspension offers up an extra smooth handling experience. Luxury does come in packages a bit bigger than average, and drivers across the nation are going wild over the Cadenza: you'll be amazed at just how intelligent the engineering is, offering you consistently proven peace of mind!

Looking for Luxury Within the Value Price Range? The 2017 Kia Cadenza

There has perhaps been a long-standing notion that as far away as luxury vehicles are concerned, Kia isn't in the same club as Lexus and some of the others. The unveiling of this year's full-size sedan from them packs quite a punch in the luxury category, with an expertly crafted cabin, and very comfortable space to spend time in during a commute. It is equipped with the absolute most awesome in the tech department to boot, and assure that you pull up to your destination withs a high dose of swank and stye. From a black tie affair to your highly-anticipated date night of the week, the Cadenza was designed to provide you the swanky medium to cruise in while you mull over your dining or entertainment options for the night.

This is an all-new release for the year, and has gone through a complete re-design from front to back. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are two of the features that the gadget obsessed will get excited about: CarPlay is the slickest app out there to access all of your goodies on your smartphone at a minimal distraction level to the driver. You can toggle between recently used apps without fisrt having to hit the "home button" on CarPlay's newest version, a subtle change to its function that will help you navigate safer in the long run. A 3.3-liter V-6 engine has been successfully tinkered with to provide better fuel economy, and the vehicle operates with a new and efficient 8-speed automatic transmission.

Some of the features that you get with this luxurious new Kia lift are as follows:

  • Proximity approach lighting
  • 12-speaker Harman-Kardon audio system
  • 8.0" touch screen infotainment center with full navigation
  • Panoramic sunroof
The bottom line on the engine is that it may not be as overwhelmingly fast as some of the competition, but it is more than able to meet the needs of any commuter finding themselves in a familiarly pressed-for-time situation. Driving with the 8-speed automatic transmission feels fairly effortless, and while in Sport mode, shifts are more-than-noticeable. The smart mode that governs the entire process (if the driver wishes) switches constantly through the Eco, Comfort, and Sport settings to give you a balanced blend of fuel usage, response, and overall performance.

Fuel economy is one of the main things on many minds as there may be an uptick in prices this summer, and it is reported that the Cadenza falls behind those in its category from Buick, Toyota, and Nissan. For the St. Louis commuter that is looking to get to work or take the little ones to school in style, you are still going to notice a drastic difference from vehicles on the lot just a few years ago. 570 miles is the approximate distance you can cover while gleaning from its 18.5-gallon tank, and the overall handling capacity will make those happy that are seeking a full-size sedan for the squad.

Many drivers have claimed that the Cadenza is for the laid-back, and lead foots may not be 100% happy with the tiny elements of resistance you can experience when really trying to leave the stop light in the dust. But this is overall one classy choice for the price, and you're going to want to keep your golf clubs and best-pressed suit aboard at all times: the finer things in life are likely to collide with your cruising on a daily basis.

KIA Teases Updated Cadenza Prior to LA Auto Show

Lower stance among exterior enhancements hinted by KIA sketches

Cutting edge design and premium sedan features will be harmonized into the upcoming updated KIA Cadenza sketches released late last week. The KIA Cadenza has been in production since 2010, and premium sedan fans in St. Louis and all across the United States have enjoyed what the Cadenza has offered since 2013.

A front three-quarter, rear three-quarter and interior sketch have been released to the public to show off what KIA fans can expect from the update Cadenza, possibly the 2017 model year or maybe even the 2016. From the exterior renderings, a longer hood with a lower, wider and more aggressive stance highlight the exterior enhancements for the updated Cadenza.

The exterior expects to look sharper will still maintaining the sleek contour lines that have made the KIA vehicles from Jim Butler KIA renowned in St. Louis. The new KIA Cadenza will be recognizable and able to compete with the more-expensive European badges not just in price but also in looks.

The interior sketch provides us with a taste of what those who drive and ride in the updated Cadenza will see. A more horizontal dash design upgrades the aesthetics and ergonomics of the driver experience. KIA touts this updates Cadenza, saying it will “maintain the progressive, contemporary image of the current model, while introducing higher levels of luxury and refinement to the large sedan segment.”

Last month, KIA revealed some of the specs of the 2016 Cadenza including a new base trim level and more standard features that were options in 2015. Since KIA is also promoting the new Sportage at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this week, we may not see the new Cadenza until the Detroit Auto Show, but releasing the sketches this close to an auto show is usually a good sign of what a dealer will put on stage.

For those seeking a premium large sedan but don’t want to pay the big price tags that Bavarian and German brands may cost, check out the KIA Cadenza at Jim Butler KIA in Chesterfield Valley.
